With Associate degrees in both English and History and a Bachelor degree in English, I am dedicated to perfecting my craft. As a current Web Development student at Lambda School, I am working towards developing my technical skills so as to broaden my ever-growing expertise.

Founder & Executive Director

Transgender Visibility & Education Network (April 2015 - Present)

  • Coordinated numerous community outreach opportunities affecting thousands of transgender individuals and allies.
  • Developed and published the TVEN Quarterly magazine which has a current readership of more than 1,000 both in print and online.
  • Designed an evolving website platform to provide additional educational and visibility options for those seeking to learn more about the transgender community.
  • Presented a training program about proper pronoun usage to 50 Kaiser Permanente medical staff which is now being utilized by the entire hospital to help hundreds of thousand of patients, family, and staff be addressed by their proper pronouns.

Marketing & University Program Mananger

CattleDog Publishing (September 2016 - January 2019)

  • Responsible for the production of all graphic design, desktop publishing, and marketing materials for use in company advertising campaigns.
  • Responsible for editing and writing company blog and social media posts viewed by millions of customers world-wide every year.
  • Redesigned and managed an online animal behavior certification program, tripling student enrollment and retention over the course of two years; including students from 25 countries around the world.

Aria Communications (August 2015 - August 2016)

  • Provided front-line customer and technical support for 10,000 UC Davis students and city residents.
  • Assisted with on-site system installations and troubleshooting at 40 apartment complexes and businesses within the city of Davis.

Walmart (January 2010 - July 2010)

  • Coordinated all incoming and outgoing warehouse shipments during a 6 month store remodeling project.
  • Managed warehouse staffing and scheduling to ensure that all shipments were delivered and received on time.
  • Supervised the safe loading and unloading of all semi-trucks during the remodeling project.

Staff Sergeant / Loadmaster

United States Air Force (May 2002 - July 2009)

  • Supervised the safe loading and unloading of all cargo and passengers aboard Air Force C-17A cargo aircraft.
  • Developed a squadron level database to assist squadron members in maintaining their combat readiness.
  • Calculated the proper balance, shoring, and restraint of cargo to ensure that all flight operations remained safe.
  • Conducted in-flight cargo and passenger management and other in-flight duties to maintain safety protocols.
  • Managed and supervised numerous subordinate Airmen in their in-flight and office duties to ensure compliance with Air Force regulations and protocols.
